Which DACs are supported?
Any DAC that works with MacOS will be available to choose in the preferences.
I enabled "Activate on click". How do I display the dropdown menu?
You can view the normal dropdown menu by option-clicking the icon in the menubar.
What output format should I choose?
Generally, you should choose the highest bit-depth and sample rate supported by your DAC hardware.
However, you may decide to match the output bit-depth and sample rate of your music player to avoid resampling of the stream. For instance, if your lossless music service offers audio at 24-bits with a sample rate of 96 kHz, change your DAC to match for the best possible listening experience. Gone are the days of opening up Audio MIDI Setup! Simply option-click the menubar icon to bring up the output options.
